Description

Lip contouring with hyaluronic acid fillers is a procedure for enhancing lip shape and volume while maintaining natural proportions. At Milena Aesthetic, the filler — Stylage, Juvederm, or Belotero — is chosen according to the patient’s anatomy and desired result.
The treatment not only defines and volumizes the lips but also restores hydration and smoothness, correcting asymmetry and fine lines. The result is soft, balanced, and sensual lips with a fresh, youthful appearance.
All products are based on stabilized hyaluronic acid and enriched with lidocaine for comfortable injection and minimal swelling.

Conducting the procedure

468
Step 1. Consultation and design.
The doctor analyses facial proportions and lip anatomy, choosing the filler — Stylage, Juvederm, or Belotero — and volume individually for natural harmony.

469
Step 2. Preparation and anaesthesia.
A topical anaesthetic is applied for comfort; the area is disinfected before injection.

Step 3. Lip contouring.
The filler is gently injected with a fine needle or micro-cannula to shape the lips, correct asymmetry, and enhance volume.
Sometimes, the doctor may choose to inject only part of the syringe initially, allowing the lips to settle and the volume to be reassessed. A touch-up with the remaining filler can then be performed to perfect symmetry and balance.
This measured approach helps avoid overcorrection and ensures the most natural, refined result.

Step 4. Finishing care.
The lips are lightly massaged to ensure even distribution of the filler. Cold compresses may be applied to reduce swelling.

Extra

Indications

Loss of lip volume, asymmetry, dryness or thin lips, undefined contour, downturned mouth corners, perioral (“barcode”) wrinkles, and age-related decrease in skin density.

Rehabilitation

Mild swelling and tenderness may occur for one to two days. Avoid heat, massage, and active sports for 48 hours.
Results are visible immediately, with final refinement after 5–7 days as swelling subsides. Lip balm with SPF is recommended for protection and hydration.

Contraindications

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active herpes, skin inflammation in treatment area, autoimmune disease, blood clotting disorders.

Before and after

Treatment results are individual. There is no guarantee that the result will be the same, as it might vary from one individual to another. Medical and cosmetic procedures may involve risks and side effects. Their nature and likelihood depend on the procedure and the patient’s individual condition and are discussed during a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
